Cheluvi, hailing from a marginalized caste family in a village entrenched in the rigid hierarchies of caste and untouchability, faces harassment from Mara, a malicious boy persistently seeking her affection. Despite her indifference, Mara orchestrates a deceitful scenario, trapping Chaluvi with Ranga, falsely accusing them of an illicit liaison. Amidst the ensuing turmoil and seeking justice from the village council, Ranga, moved by Chaluvi's plight, declares his commitment to her, despite her initial reluctance. Tragically, Ranga's life is cut short due to the machinations of Mara and his cohorts, leaving Chaluvi a widow, ostracized by the judgmental stares of her community. Subjected to further violence, Chaluvi finds herself pregnant after being raped by Gowda, prompting the village elders to banish her from the community. Alone and pregnant, Chaluvi gives birth to a daughter, whom a compassionate seer helps to educate, eventually leading her to become a district collector. Years later, Chaluvi's accomplished daughter returns, pleading for her mother's acceptance back into the village, marking a poignant moment of reconciliation and redemption in the face of adversity.
