A fisherman named Lakham gets stranded in Pakistan after a storm at sea. Mistaken for a spy, he faces torture in jail. Meanwhile, his wife Whalu, believing him dead, moves on with their family. Eventually, Lakham escapes with the help of a Pakistani soldier and returns home, where Ramji declares Whalu pure, and Lakham adopts her.
