Born in 1964 in Sakleshpura, Karnataka, Gurudath is the son of the celebrated amphitheater actor and comedian Musuri Krishnamurthy and Sushilamma. His upbringing in a family deeply rooted in the arts instilled in him a passion for acting from a young age.
